Mike Roe performs "Jonah in the Wilderness" in Delaware, OH on July 10, 2009 at Grace Brethren Church. Mike prefaces the song by talking about the theology of it, and the transformation that took place with some older blues and gospel songs. "Jonah" is from his new record, "We All Gonna Face the Rising Sun", which is a collection of old blues and gospel covers. Enjoy!

  • You guys are hilarious -- Henry’s words are unintelligible at every turn but I prefer ’30 blue eyed Christians’ -- it’s easier to sing and gives me a chance to hate on racism. That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it ~~ Doc Jong II

  • I think it is "Seek and you’ll find the sturdy, true-hearted Christian" not "Thirty blue-eyed Christians"

  • It's not "thirty blue eyed christians"! Henry Thomas sings "seek and you'll find the sturdy, good-hearted christian". Pay atention to the song, man...

  • Great story.

Is it just me, or does Mike look a little like Kim Jong-Il here?
