Yes, the proper name for it reciprocating saw but a lot of people know it as sawzall just like how people call bandage - band aid. Milwaukee invented the reciprocating saw and they're still the best at making it. They also have patents on their new designs too.

id go with sawzall, milwaukee has the market on this one, plus ive heard they have good customer service and have parts avail. the one prob is are they made in usa?????
