If my sister were to be raped instead, then I would feel anything...since she doesn't exist. The problem here is that these people aren't embracing civilization, are we then surprised if civilization treats them like thus?

Malaysian-style "Pembangunan" which is really just a get-rich-quick scheme by politicians for politicians and their corrupt brethren in the corporate world is "Penindasan" of the Penan, of other indigenous groups, of the environment, and of the rakyat as a whole. No one's opposing development per se, ok? But our development practices can stand to be more sustainable and LEGAL. For as long as we continue such greedy and violent maldevelopment, we'll stay in the stone age.
