@Droenixlol These were small commercials promoting Japanese TV network NHK's BS (broadcast satellite) service. Domo was the network's mascot. These mini-cartoons played in between shows. We don't really have anything like it in the US, except for maybe NBC's "The More You Know" segments. They're probably closer to the old BBC Balloon station ID's.
