Thanks

I have a question.. Can i move up/down right/left a laser with only a DC motor? Thanks

Sorry, but I am really not sure.
I got the setup second hand, and I never could find any good specs on it.
It is quite a bit though, the increments are so small that even curved shapes like a circle are fairly smooth.

Hmm considering making my own one... all I need is a motor and a mirror right? and obviously the laser.

What I have shown in this vid is a bit more complicated. It has two stepper motors (one for X one for Y)controlled by a computer.
You can however, make an elipse with just motors, as I have shown on my sites laser page.

So far I have made a simple little thing. I have a small board of wood with a small motor screwed down and powered by batteries. The motor has a small mirror at an angle on it and when its turned on and the laser is shined on it I can make a perfect circles on the wall. Like I said its simple.

Now make another one just like that, and make it reflect into the other one. Make sure the mirrors are offset to each other, and it will make the ellipse.
