Seeking a sheltered walkway

CURRENTLY, there are road works to convert Toa Payoh Rise into a two-way road between Thomson Road and Lorong 1 Toa Payoh.

This is the road commuters going to Caldecott MRT station have to walk from Lorong 1. The recent stormy weather, as well as the heat, calls for a sheltered walkway for this shadeless stretch.

Will the Land Transport Authority build such a shelter in view of the fact that there is an enclave of seniors in the estate?

There is already a walkway from the MRT station to the Thomson Road side, but not to the Toa Payoh end.
