What an engine! Did I see a blowdown valve operating when the engine was over the pit?
Incidentally, the FR got steam in the 1860's, not the 1830's. As I would n't have a clue where to start on this project, I think I ought to keep quiet!

Im going to build a double fairlie in seven and a quater gauge and im going to do it red. it will take me about six years but i will be documenting it on youtube as i build it

Soooo proud of my Dad! By the way, the Fairlie weighs 5.5 hundred weight and due to piston numbers and diameter does have the equivalent power of a full size traction engine....driver beware that's all I will say!
