Dodge County, GA tornado warning 2/28/09

Several clips taken today of a tornado warning at my house in Rhine, GA. A wilcox county sheriff's deputy spotted a tornado on the ground about five miles away and it crossed into Dodge county shortly afterwards. By the time it got to us it had already lifted, but NWS radar continued to indicate strong rotation in the storm, extending the warning. Since I own the only functioning tornado siren in the county I hauled ass outside and set if off soon as we went under a warning. Until the Thunderbolt goes up this little "birdfeeder" siren will have to do. Also the yellow 2t22 under the shed that you see at the end of the video belongs to another town, I restored it for them and they are currently saving money to install it.

I live out in the country, and it can be heard on the other side of my yard.

It's been replaced with a much larger siren now.

The 2t22 in the video was for another town and has already been installed. I put a Sterling little Giant on the roof of my shed. Check out my vids of it to hear it. I just finished restoring my 1000T and will install it in a few months after I am done using it as a demonstrator.
