An early demo from around 1980 in Toronto Canada. Master Hwang is a renowned and one of the foremost hapkido practitioners in the world. He stands on the master's committee of the Uljikwan (highlighted in Fightquest with Master Bae) and has been in movies with Jackie Chan (Young Master) and Sammo Hung (Hapkido).

  • I would like to know if Master Hawng In Shik speaks Cantonese or Mandarin, because I'd like to know what language he used to says his lines and comunicate when he did movies in Hong Kong and Taiwan/Eagl's Talons. I saw a behind the scenes documentary of Dragon Lord where Jackie Chan speaks English to him.

He doesn't speak any dialect of chinese.

  • The guy have done this so many hours, so many years. all he is doing is muscle meomery. He can spare with you while he is thinking what to eat for dinner. But what piss me off is he didnt attent UFC back in the days. Because I know he love fighting and he would break down any mma fighter in his weightclass. Even he would be about 55 years that time.

  • O hes the guy who gives beatings to jackie chan in young master at the end, he is awsome with his grapling.

He actually speaks some broken Cantonese.

  • "here let me help you back up... HAHA FUCK YOU!" 0:14

  • Master Hwang rocks in all aspects of life.

  • Although master Hwang did take few movies in Hong Kong, his Chinese skills are still at basic level.

Master Hwang's family and my family were the best friends when my family first moved to Canada, attending the same church. I watched him ordering some Chinese dishes in China town when he invited my family to diner. He spoke little Cantonese (mainly the name of dishes) and waiter seemed to know who he was and he was very happy to serve him.
