New Divide: A Jonas Brothers Love Story Chapter 44

Nick's POV

"Have you guys seen Megs?" I asked walking into Liz and B's room. "Yeah, her and Selena are in the ballroom downstairs, venting about how Perez Hilton said they're careers are 'over'." Joe said using air quotes. "What are you talking about?" I asked. "Perez Hilton said that Megs and Selena are officially yesterday's news and that this new girl, Abbie is the next greatest thing." Breanna said. "Oh, great! I bet she's taking that fantastic-ly!" I said sarcasticly before I turned and walked out the door. She doesn't need anymore stress, she was just in a car accident, she has a broken leg and now her career is 'over' just what she needed! I hit the button for the elevator and waited not so patiently until it opened on the ground floor. I walked to the ballroom and opened the doors in time to see Megs and Selena climb onto the stage and stand behind two mics, what are they doing? There was a camera set up in front of them on the stage and a DJ off to the side, he started playing a beat and the girls started singing, I hadn't heard this song before but I silently closed the door and walked further along the wall of the ballroom so I wouldn't interrupt them.

Megan:

You walk and talk
Like you're some new sensation
You move in circles
You don't need an invitation
You spend your money [she rubbed her fingers together like she was holding money and then started wagging her index finger like she was saying no]
You can't get no satisfaction
You play it right so you can get the right reaction [As she sang that Megs rolled her eyes and shook her head]

Selena:

It won't be long, my darling
Pick up the phone, nobody's on it
Where are your friends now, baby?
How's anyone suppose to be there for

Both:

Megan: [Megs bent down and picked up a mirror that was on the stage when no one was looking and was now looking in it.]

What's out of place when you look into the mirror?
[Megs handed it to Selena and sang into the camera]
The truth is blurry but the lies are getting clearer
[Megs ran a finger down the side of her face stopping at her eye, then going to her lips.]
Your eyes are fixed, your smile is so elastic
[Selena passed Megs a bouquet of plastic roses]
You gave me roses but they're all just made of plastic
[Megs smirked and threw them at the camera and I smiled]

Selena:

It won't be long, my darling
