This is my contribution to the political satire/phenomenon that is the Nick Clegg/David Cameron bromance, also known as 'Clameron'. Ever since the coalition was announced, the internet has been aflame with the love story of these two rather good looking politicians, and when a dear friend suggested 'Linger' as a song, how could I resist?
The narrative of the vid is pretty straightforward: Nick meets Dave, angst ensues in the form of the gutter press (and even the broadsheets!) and finally there's a wedding. I see the song as a kind of duet, and the vid from the point of view of both of them (although it was a lot easier to vid from Nick's point of view for much of it!)
It goes without saying that this is just a bit of fun, totally made up and a tongue in cheek response to the media frenzy over the PM and his DPM, and absolutely no offence is intended to those involved. I also apologise profusely to the Cranberries for using their wonderful song to make satire, and I hope they forgive me!
