Warum wurde diese Schlacht verloren. Weil die deutsche Artillerie in den alten Stellungen geblieben ist. Schlam, Krater und keine intakten Straßen. Das gleiche galt für den Nachschub an Munition usw. Des weitern griffen frische US-Truppen die Flanken der deutschen an. Fast so wie später 1944 in den Ardenen. Mein Ur-Großvater war dabei bei, bei der Schlacht. Er war Munitonsfahrer beim 79 Ostfriesischen Feldartillerie Regiment.

@philoupaulo This was filmed in Australia back in 1985, near the town of Daylesford in the state of Victoria. A guy I know worked on the production as a set designer and builder.

Deutchland hätte den Krieg gewonnen. Nur der Kriegseintritt der USA hat den deutschen Sieg verhindert. Die andern Verbündeten waren fertig und Deutschland konnte seine Truppen von der Ostfront nach dem Westen werfen.
