People seem to have the impression that animal rights folks are all "f-ing tree-hugging liberal crazies," so talking about being ashamed of America, homosexual issues, plus a downright odd statement about immigration, just perpetuates this stereotype. Even though there are some parallels that can be drawn with the examples given, and I see the truth Gary is reaching for, it just muddies up the water too much and, to me, the end result feels more ostricizing than helpful. :(

You say what i think! Ashamed of being human! Disgust for the human race, and and exactly for those reason you name! I do understand why you leave it out of your recent speeches, but i do wholeheartedly agree with everything you say! Everytime i see an animal being abused i actually apologize for my fellow 'human' being for the pain they inflict upon them!

@rowania I'd say he has more idea about morality than 99.999% of the people I KNOW; it's not all tied up with a set of rules. He basically said everybody (people and animals alike) should be free to live their lives without being exploited and harmed AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT EXPLOTING AND HARMING OTHERS!
