  • she was my professor last quarter. she's brilliant.

  • @sirstrong1st If we do as you suggest & eliminate the fed safety net where will families in need turn? That won't lower our costs it will raise them. One example is higher health care costs due to low income people useing ERs like regular doctors. Most women on welfare don't have children to get money from the government, you don't get rich off it. Doing less may lower costs in the short term but in the long run we will rack up many higher costs both monetarily and socially.

  • I usually don't like Bill O. but I think he's right on this and these single mothers are a burden on society. This women promotes burden on tax payers. Think how much national debt we could pay off if we shut off welfare, section 8 and other bull crap so a woman can have as many children as she likes and be independent.

  • "traditional" marriage is anything but traditional. Does he think the human species didn't exist pre 1600's?

  • 'Traditional' marriage is the daughter of one family given to be the wife (2nd? 3rd?) of a man from another family to join the two families or estates, maybe ending a dispute; a business contract. She was to run his estate or household, give birth to his heirs or take care of the previous wife's children, shut up about his mistresses who were often loved and treated better. The Ozzie and Harriet norm was about as real as Jersey Shore. It made nice TV but wasn't reality.

  • Stephanie did a great job standing up to O'Reilly and his dogmatic bs. O'Reilly just behaved like his usual douchebag self.

  • She spoke at my University last night. She's a really dynamic speaker. I agree, she did VERY well standing up to O'Reilly. He wasn't asking her about her book, he was going off on a tirade about his beliefs about marriage and welfare. Jeez!

  • -runs O'Reilly through pundit-to-English translator-

"It's all about me! ME ME ME ME ME!! BAAAAWWWWWW!!! POOR LITTLE RICH ME!!!!!!"

  • @allie2686 Thank you!

  • WTF?! Can we let the scholar talk? O' Reilly shut up and listen!
