"Had it not been for the tremendous sacrifices and incredible courage of our nation's Greatest Generation, it's quite possible the world would be a much different place than it is today. Rest assured that nothing has changed since then as our best and brightest continue to step forward, take the oath, and put on the uniform so that they may carry on the ideas of our planet's last best hope for humanity--The United States of America."

amazing song My grand father who died before i was born of cancer Fought in New Guenea for years. My mother and grand mother always say he would only tell funny stories from the war like ones about natives who ate cigarettes.

Neither of my grandpas were killed in WWII but I still always think of them when I hear this. My dad's dad who passed away when I was 3 was so messed up with PTSD and alcoholism because of the things he'd seen and done. I'm sure the war was most certainly in color for him. It's a good song to reflect on what soldiers went through in any war in any country.

Great!!! To all those who served!
My dad was a WWII vet. (Up til two weeks ago I could have said "my dad IS a WWII veteran") and my Uncle was too. My dad did Graves Registration- buried nearly 20,000 men in Europe, Normandy, Battle of the Bulge etc.. all when he was all of 20 years old. My Uncle was a paratrooper in Normandy. All the while my dad, picking up bodies expected to find his brother among those killed. They both died in the past 6 weeks, This video means more than you can ever know.

Excellent video! I just discovered Carbon Leaf and The War Was In Color. This song personally touches me. Regardless of one's view of "war" I believe all the men and women, past and present, who serve our Country deserve a place in our Heart, especially those of "The Greatest Generation." I will always have my father in my Heart.
