  • I am so much in the minority here it isn't funny. Yes, blah blah kidnapping ... but 2 ,3 wrongs don't make a right, except legally.

I think a real father would've sacrificed himself 4 his child's happiness. This boy wanted 2 stay w/the only family he's ever really known, the only father he's known, his sister & grandparents. Instead he'll be raised to think his mother's love a betrayal. He'll always have attachment issues. And I bet anti-depressants will be prescribed for him in the near future.

  • You make a valid point about what's the best interest of the child and the attachment issues, and yet it appears that the father was very much attached to Sean before he was abducted (so it is not merely a case of an angry dad just retaliating). I also agree that the child would possibly have less conflicts going forward if he remained with his mother's family and if his biological father was just forgotten. It is complicated and I appreciate your input.

  • Give up a child? What is that. David Goldman it is an adult. We are talking about a 9 years old child. David Goldman in no time think about Sean it is just revenge. A sick revenge cicle. He isn't different than Bruna. David and Bruna did the same used that boy to revenge. No love.

  • It is easy to judge his mom. NOBODY knows what motivated her to run away from a happy marriage. She is dead. That boy is in so much pain that maybe he will bloked right now. But, one day everything will come back so hard that maybe he will not survive. It is easy say that it is drama. I would like to know who said dad know about life and looses. Everybody is free to express opinion. WHO will listen that boy desires.

  • You are not the minority. I am with you nicstepro. NOBODY cares about that boy. He is just a instrument of revenge. First was his mother now it is his bio father paying back. NOBODY shows really love for this child. I try walk on Sean shoes and make me cry everytime that I think about all this.

  • What's done is done. I know I am in the minority. I just say his son's happiness is more important than his own. Its hell when a court takes you away from, say a loving father, to a mother you haven't seen in six yrs bc she took parenting classes. And it does eff you up. Maybe Sean'll be luckier

  • I know I am in the minority in this- I just say his son's happiness is more important than his own. BTW real parents do that every day. Its called adoption.

  • @nicstepro You apparently do not have any children (thank God) no parent NEVER EVER gives up on their child, no matter what. This man has been fighting from DAY 1, the day his wife called to tell him she is divorcing him and staying in Brazil. If the step father or the mother put the Sean's happiness first then would've been over 5 yrs ago. The Brazilian court ruled within less than 3mths to return Sean to his father, if Bruna cared then she would sacrificed her happiness.

  • thank you Dr Goulston for video and professional advice. David Goldman is very kind intelligent and it's pathetic his late wife kept David completely away from Sean. God Bless NBC Rep. Chris Smith and all the wonderful supporters and Sen. Launtenberg Happy New Year but please someone give David a job eventually

  • The above comment was nicstepro.

  • Drama queen much?

Simple fact that the genesis of ANY damage was Bruna all problems started with her and her piece of excrement mother Sylvana Bianchi. If Bruna's life was not as wealthy and elitist as it was in Brazil then she should have divorced David in the US, let the chips fall where they may in regards to custody [and it would never have meant moving Sean to Brazil], and then restart her life of greed in Brazil w/o Sean.

I can't believe you say David should have basically forgotten Sean
