Garry Trudeau, the Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist and creator of the popular comic strip "Doonesbury" spoke to more than 2,000 people in the opening event of this year's Bryan Series Oct. 7. Trudeau made an evening presentation entitled "Doonesbury at War," in which he discussed how his interactions with wounded veterans impacts his cartooning. Earlier in the day, Trudeau met with 65 Guilford students on campus to answer their questions about journalism and his career as an artist.
