Up to one fifth of America's electricity-producing coal capacity may be shut down by new federal environmental regulations between now and 2017. The federal government is forcing plants to close, and as they do, jobs are being lost. In this video, Project 21's full-time fellow, Deneen Borelli, discusses the economic costs of these new EPA rules on the August 21, 2011 edition of the Fox News Channel's Fox & Friends.

  • Nobody has ever died because of coal power plants. haha the EPA thinks they're saving lives.

  • Anyone that follows FoxNews' BS is mentally handicapped. I swear, did IQ's drop over the past decade?

  • @LesPaulCustom79 You r so "right on" with this statement. I hope everybody else see's the hypocracy of this administration come election 11.

  • Odumbo's administration is such a bunch of tools.....they can't get out of their own way. Idiots!!!

  • Hmmmm, with all the projected lives saved, and bronchitis sufferers diminished, it makes me wonder how they came to those conclusions. Pretty much just like they projected all those jobs saved. It was all smoke and mirrors and I believe this is more of the same type of hoax. They can't really tell the truth about it because the plan is to destroy jobs and energy or tax it to death... same thing.

  • I would like to see steam coming from Garafalo's ears.

  • Over-regulation. While, yes, this is a pressing issue, it is something that would eventually be corrected by the market through innovation, technological advances, and by consumers who, when given the choice between the two, will opt for what's best for them financially and what's best for their families. By allowing the government to regulate this industry, it will be phased out too early which will result in job loss.

  • Janeane Garafalo's head would explode at this video because this person is a black woman Republican with Stockholm syndrome
