Yeah that is the paradox. The islands needs to have limited tourism there and the only way to really do it is by raising the price. I absolutely loved the islands and felt a little guilty at the same time.

These Lonely Planet videos are always so interesting, particularly this of the Galapagos Islands. If they did a compilation of these scenic videos and made them available on DVD the way BBC did with Blue Planet and Planet Earth, they would be quite popular with the customer buying public and also be a useful tool for teachers, since Planet Earth particularly was such a big hit in many schools.

Unfortunately, as you mentioned, it is expensive to visit the Galapagos Islands, which means not everyone can enjoy the beauty of it. Though, it may be a good thing, if it was cheap thene veryone can afford to go there, eventualy might ruin the beauty of the Galapagos
