My grandmothers yard had a huge Wisteria, so the smell always brings up fond memories, from my child-hood.

I CAN smell it! I love the smell of those things. In my neck of the woods, it grows up into the trees a lot and covers them like the kudzu. The first sign of spring for me, is a big patch of purple thrift. I forget what you really call it, but we always called it thrift, and it grows on banks, etc. I love that stuff. I remember seeing it in all colors as a child, but you hardly ever see any but the purple lately.

WOW! Wish I had a wisteria like that - you only see them growing against walls in UK - almost never see them free standing like that - and they take years to flower here - what a cracking tree Ron!
