I have that old Nvidia GF 9400gt and it runs battlefield 3 with no problems
My brother have ati and it can`t run minecraft without crashing the game and saying ``The video card has crashed`` or something like this...

Ati-Cheaper (Until recently)
Supports mac (Which is probably a bad thing since mac sucks ass)
More stable
Nvidia- MUCH MUCH MUCH better performance.MUCH.

Every One !! Go For ATI Radeon HD Graphics ! They Are The Best . Nvidia Is 30 To 40 % Slower Then ATI . The Difference Is ATI Are Much Hotter Then Nvidia Because ATI Are More Faster , PowerFull Then Nvidia .

Definately go with a 6950, it's way better than anything NVIDIA has. AMD has just killed NVIDIA with every card it's released. Right now AMD's 6990 is the best GPU, and AMD is soon to release it's awesome 8 core CPU.

@Arteymis Catalyst has great settings. Imo, the Advanced A.I rocks. Increases FPS by 10-20 in some games while running really high settings. Does nVidia do that?

hd 6950 2gb or gtx 560 ti? i can get the hd 6950 2gig for the same money like a gtx 560 ti 1gig

Both brands have great graphics and compete closely. In my experience reason for replacements has been the deciding factor for brand choice, nvidia I replace because they came out with a better card, ati/amd I replace because the damn thing burn out after 6-12 months. Ati/amd ends up in the trash broken, nvidia - give away or still have and all still work.
