Well these days, this modest moppet is now a guy.

This would work nowadays if kids played. Grown folks couln't do this anymore.

If I remember hearing right, this premiered on NBC the same day as "50 Grand Slam" hosted by Tom Kennedy. They were also cancelled on the same day 13 weeks later.

I suppose a crack like that was presumed to be funny in 1976. Unfortunately, at that time it was still considered very acceptable to make ethnicity the butt of a joke. That doesn't make it any less offensive though. Thank God we've evolved beyond that.

I preferred the blue-and-white set over the later red set.

I remember watching this as a kid. Thanks for the memories and the upload. Looking forward to your next one.
That said, however, I find this game quite bland. The front game liberally borrowed from Ed McMahon's late 60's show "Snap Judgement" (which itself was a "Password" variant) while the endgame wound up being tweaked for use as the Alphabetics round in NBC's two "Password" revivals. Funny how so many ideas get recycled in the game show world, isn't it?

Dick's reaction on the second stumper was priceless.
