As a high raw vegan, the best restaraunts (and there are 3 in my area!) are Chinese buffets. There is vegan sushi, steamed rice, fruit (pineapple, mango, melon, etc.), and a salad bar (fresh veggies, beans, olives, etc.) It's great- and I get to eat as much of it as I want!
sometimes i go out with my family in fact i did today! i got sliced raw green bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots, and avocado. when i go to chinese restaurants i get steamed veggies and brown rice
Scan the menu, see whatever veggies they have listed on their menu, raw and cooked, and then ask what they can provide raw and create a raw veggie assortment platter/dish for you. Most places have no problem doing this type of custom salad. Then they have the basic rule of thumbs: Chinese: lightly steamed or wok'd no salt veggie dishes... Indian and Middle Eastern: legume dishes... Japanese: seaweed dishes, miso... Italian:grilled veggies, salads
Thanks for sharing you good nutrition ideas.
