Drilling and routing on Biesse Rover 336. The below macro is for the swirl path at the end. Warning be careful with this macro as it can freeze your Biesse machine if not used correctly.

  • yep. your right the swirl code freezes my machine! 321r with 410 controller.

  • I take no responsibility for the freeze. i've done many macros for the older rovers. the new ones use Biesseworks so there is not so much a need for them anymore. I miss the good old days. The new ones are not as fun.

  • @enytned1 Did you ever work with aluminum on this machine? Or ever hear of people doing it?

    Yes you can machine aluminum. You have to have the right tools and feeds/rpm for dry routing your material. I've drill 1" steel on these routers. Consult your tool supplier for type of tooling and feeds and rpm.

  • no liability meant. i tried it cos i like that way of programming myself and had never used the rotation function. i could get it going without freezing by lowering the amount of rotations so i presume my working ram is either too slow or not enough. good fun to play with for an hour though! im still learning which i enjoy. thanks for sharing the code.
