Minecraft Tutorial: Piston Elevator Part I

This is a tutorial for the Piston Elevator video I posted a few days ago. I tried to break it down as much as I could, the theory, some math, and the actual construction without going through it block by block.

I submitted it for Captain Sparklez' Adventure Map. I know it's not a puzzle but I think it would be a really cool way to get from one area of the adventure map to another.

i know it might be a bit much to ask but could you like show how to build the single piston demonstration at 4:48? because im still a bit fuzzy on how to retrack them back.

There are some other elevator designs like the crawler, but they only support a 1x1 elevator cart. Good tutorial, very informative.
