This weekend I did a lot of work and painted the entire underside of the car. It looks like I got mostly everywhere, but I'll probably second guess myself until I drive myself crazy, so I'll probably do one more coat, just to be safe.

  • hey i was wondering if you cleaned the floorboard with their stuff or you just stripped the floor board and used por15

  • LOL! do you still have POR-15 on you hands to this day? ;-P

  • Cavity Wax check out Dinitrol 3215 i think, apply with aerosol that has an extension pipe with a jet on the end or use the schutz gun version. failing that use Plastic Puddings Cavity wax they have rust inhibitors in them and are good for about 10 years. No there not sealed some ppl wax then rubber plug them but then water cant get out.

  • Do you have video of what it looked like before you did undercoating? This was done with POR-15? I have a 1977 Ford F-150 Super Cab with a 460 engine. I have very little rust on floor boards underneath, but the rails and axles and brackets underneath are heavily rusted. What would I do for this. Sanding this stuff will be a nightmare! They have some stuff out there you can spray right over rust, how would this do, or would using the POR-15 be better and what prep would I need if any?

  • Thanks for sharing this.Quite inspiring...Looking to undertake such an endeavor soon with an old Packard. Did you do the whole nine yards as far as the three step POR15 process(Marine Clean and Metal ready, etc, beforehand),or was it just the POR15 by itself? Thanks.

  • Did you brush or spray the undercarriage

  • looks good. hard work pays off. for the hols on the rails. try lids from a can. just silicon them on, doesnt look chincy either.

  • lookin good! I need to do this to rustproof my z for years to come!
