This is video I shot @ Scoop the Loop parade on July 8th 2006. Every summer in Waukegan Illinois they block off a loop around the downtown area and let you "scoop" or cruise the downtown and show off your car. I just found out that they are renaming the show to 'Scoopin' Genesee' b/c northshore rods couldn't afford to run it themselves so now the city is running it. waukegan all proud of scoopin now we used to do that every night in the 60s and the cops would hassle us when the cops went onstrike in 1970 we had drag races right down genesee and the cops cheered us on this was before waukegan became third world nation
