  • That symphony does seem to suffer a bit from a plethora of not-so-exciting (dare I say mediocre) recordings/playings. When you hear a really good one it'll just blow you away, like there's an endorphin rush or something.

  • Guardo un excelente recuerdo del insigne maestro Charles Mackerras,porque el 15 de abril de 1978 fue el director de la opera de Mozart "Die Zauberflote" en la Deutsche Oper Berlin, en donde habiamos sido invitados por el gobierno federal de Alemania y luego de la representacion nos invitaron a un brindis que para mi fue memorable. Su conduccion-como siempre-fue de primera linea.
