@Halonerdful I'd rather see an honest effort to recreate to the games fail than what anderson is doing right now. At least with the former I can appreciate whatever effort they may put into it

@215jmo In all honesty, beats me. I mean like anderson's idea, bit also Seeing them IRL would be cool just difficult.
-
@Halonerdful Point taken but I think there's a difference between creative license and having nothing to do with the source material it's based on. I understand that some things may have to be changed to make an effective movie but if you look at the Mortal Kombat movie it followed the premise of the games pretty well, had all the characters we love in it used properly (to a degree) and it felt satisfying. Im just saying why couldn't they do the same with RE?
-
@215jmo Plus Wesker was decapitated and Barry was killed. Ada was a researcher and Jill was Bravo team's leader.
-
@215jmo Right but you see there is a thing called creative license. Re2 and Genesis both had underground labs controlled by Umbrella. Both were infiltrated by the USS. Both sufferd a T-viral outbreak. Capcom choose Anderson's script because they liked it more than Romero's.And to be honest Anderson's script is more like the games. Romero's script had Barry Burton has a African-American, Wesker had Tattoos, & Chris was a Native American. I dont know about you, but to me that just sounds wrong.

@Halonerdful Those games came out then yes but the first RE game came out in 1996, Resident Evil 2 came out in 1998, followed by RE3 a year later. And Code Veronica X came out in 2000.
-
@215jmo False. Re4 came out in 2004 and Re Genesis( first movie) came out in 2002. UC provided Wesker's back story and that came out in....2009ish?
-
@Halonerdful Firstly all of those things you list were not in ANY of the Resident Evil games. Unless they were in one of the spinoffs because I've played all of the main RE games and they weren't there. Second, how did the games copy the movies? There were four RE games before the movies came out.
-
@215jmo Games copied the movies. Laser's,Red and White Queen.
-
@Blarghurface The movies still don't do the games justice. The fact that Paul W.S. Anderson simply copy and pasted this scene (in a very poor attempt by the way) to put in afterlife just showed that he was trying to throw in fan service to shut up the fans of the games. Well it didn't work. The movies still have NOTHING to do with the games and all of the characters we know and love are still wasted
Wesker is the man!

Wesker, just stab them both with your hands and get it over with, like you did with Spencer.
