You can still do 2D animation in blender. I use it for my youtube animated series. You just gotta figure out a good method to get it going. even southpark uses maya to do 2D.

@DerangedGames I know man. I spent months learning how to do everything in 2.49 and now i have to start all over again for 2.57 because the GUI is completely different.

Blender is hardcore. Plus a 3d animation movie take a lot of times and man power. Give synfig or pencil a try for 2d animation.

nice video, Blender is an Amazing piece of Software to use for 3D Animation.
I have to say, its pretty hard and confusing to get use to its User Interface, and remember were all the tools are.
ive been usin it now for about 3 years, and im pretty good
