Lucky the Dog

Lucky is a Bassett Hound/Beagle mix. She'll be 20 years old in April, 2007. Her guardian passed away and she was left alone, scared and confused. We made a space for Lucky in the clinic -- away from the noise of the shelter. Our veterinarians checked her over and removed a benign tumour from her head. We worked feverishly to find this traumatized old dog a new family -- a caring home like the one she had lost. That eventually came to pass; she now has a happy retirement where she spends her days taking long walks, then runs back to her new apartment for her treats.
