@serpz123 in my opinion i would say yes. it comes with a bass boost switch but i never seem to need it. I've tested these monitors many times and i definitely can't complain. At the same time there are monitors that out perform the m-audios, but not for this price.

How did you end up paying $200 for the studiophile av40 when I see them everywhere online for $149? I think you may have been ripped off.

@corndogers564 I've listened to alot of different monitors and i wouldn't put these at the top of my list. Monitors like KRK RP6 G2 ROKIT and the

Truth B2030P Studio Monitors are way better for only a little more. Had I known what I know now I would have paid the extra money to get either of these. Not that my monitors are bad, its just not as good as those two.

hey about the headphones, ur saying dont get that model u have because u can hear through them? or r those other ones?

just a thing bout using usb mic's they record in 16 bit .. when the pro freuency is 24bit

you do need a powerful comp cause like you mention it slows down when you add more tracks and it crashes and shit.. i use mac.. the best..
