  • Lovely to see good comments posted here ,thank you folks responding to good quality music (you can see we all have good taste in jazz )

  • Sociologically, British trad jazz was essentially rooted in the post W W11 'let's have a good time' mentality: similar to that which followed WW1 in the USA. Unlike the jazz of America, however, it became an outlet for students and some less educated youth who had not yet been infected with the commercialised rubbish of 'pop music.' However, money won out and trad jazz went into decline. The sad little media controlled oiks of today don't know what they are missing but, tough luck..

  • he's coming with his band to our part of London this summer!

  • Great viewing and listening. I have been a fan of Chris barber since I was a youth. I am now in my twilight years but my high regard for Chris Barbers work is still the same.

I last saw him at a live concert in Glasgow just a few years ago, and I must say that I was surprised at his agility!

    Thank you for sharing.

  • Lovely Jubbly! Great Stuff! Thanks!
