  • There´s a interference from mobile phone at 5:12 and i started looking for my mobile phone on my studio.

    Funny!!!!

  • Just wish i could afford it..

    I respect the people at UAD though. In fact im very greatful. It allows me to get a taste of the top end gear. I don't do much live mic recording, so it gives me everything i need.

    Still can't afford it though !

  • "cubase mixbus has smooother top-end"

    yeah, cause you can hear that in 32-bit float... just say it, pro tools is a nightmare!

  • Thank you for this video. I've never had the opportunity to own any of the hardware, but I do own the UAD-2 Solo and absolutely love it. I can't tell you how much better my stuff sounds with it. It's also very reassuring to know that bigger studios use this and also the twin-finity which I plan on getting (actually the 4-710d). Sounds good! I just need to get more of the plug-ins and a UAD-2 Quad.

  • @chevyvan10 Well, it makes for a great dongle doesn't it? Look at the mess with Waves plugins. You can get just about anything you want online. Yes, I've looked but no, I don't use cracked plugins. Try and find a UAD plugin online. You can't. That's something I appreciate and the amount of juice these plugins use compared to most others really is quite ridiculous. These aren't just basic algorithms. The actually try to mimic the circuitry. Heavy duty stuff.

  • what is your sweet talkback mic?

  • I don't really understand why you'd need external DSP processing in this day and age... In 2004 yeah, I could see the purpose, but today's host CPU's are so insanely powerful that with 50 plugins of various types running, I think you'd be hard pressed to even see 70% usage.

  • Me too! Although, especially when you compare it to waves, UAD stuff is incredibly cheap. I mean you have to buy the card, but as soon as you do that you've got all these great compressor, EQ's, etc. at your fingertips for no more than $200! At this point though I can't justify buying these because my ears just aren't that well tuned to hear the difference between a pultech eq and a neve eq and so on. The only one that jumps out to me as having a color that I can hear, is the helios.

  • no,

    uad2 = pcie x1

    uad1 = pci

  • can aud 2 works with PCI slot?

    as i can see they can only work with PCIe slot only
