ccfajardo.....Like yourself, I packed my bags in 1985 leaving the midwest for LA. I too, was a fan of The Wave, and learned of Eliza and have the exact same blue in color cassette tape. Have since updated of course to the CD and find myself pulling it out often for this song and the others. Hope all is well with you.

In 1988, I moved to L.A., taking only my clothes, a futon and a few of my favorite rocks. Ha! I still have my rocks. When I got there, I bought a stereo and one cassette tape by Eliza Gilkyson that had this song it. Between that and the New Age radio station, "The WAVE," that was all I listened to for 8 months. This is still one of my favorite songs.

She did a Woody Guthrie song that she said had never been recorded. I'm not sure of the title, but some of the lyrics are,'Peace, peace, peace, I hear the voices shouting, louder while my bugle calls for peace.' it's a good song, and she does it quite well. Why isn't it on here?

I have the album this song was on. It was my first by her. I have been a fan ever since. She has developed an edge since she did this.
