well,i still doubt that would get them to make it for PS3,its cheaper on Wii and more Wiis are owned in Japan and also the Japanese aren't as picky as Americans are with consoles so it wouldn't matter for them what console the game was released on.

Monster Hunter is anything but unnoticed in Japan, they wouldn't have made this a PS3 game even if more westerners knew about it
