@spunkflunk i always thought 28 ft was a pretty good size boat, 24 is pretty practical, but this is the ocean not a lake or river. Plus you have to remember the big boys are around 50 ft.

I'm surf, sail, kayak, dive and jet ski in the ocean. These are pussy 3'-4' swells with an occasional 5' swell. So I agree with jackyo12345

I think they aren't 3-4, but not 8ft either. I'd say like 5-6ft.

Nice vid, but these are NOT 6-8 foot seas - 3 to 4 feet swell, with wavetop chop.
8 foot seas are *big*. I've got early vid foortage (mostly old betamax) of apba offshore racing from the mid-70's to 1981 - back when they used to cross the gulf stream in the bacardi trophy, or run out to Ambrose Light then fire island in the Guy Lombardo in freeport LI - some of those races had big, big seas.
