Music influences music. That's how it is, that's how it always will be. You hear a piece of music, you enjoy it, you play music like it. Muse have more influences than I care to count, but the thing about them which I think is excellent, is they manage to incorporate ALL those influences. From RATM to Nirvana, and more classical influences than I care to count, Muse are everything good about music come together in one amazing band.

@PeaceEpieces Plug in Baby is heavily influenced by Bach's Toccata and Fugue. Don't get me wrong I love Muse but i just wanted to clarify that even the greatest riffs are infulenced by other musical feats of excellence.

@Petenman the plug in baby riff is respected as one of the best guitar riffs ever. -guitar world magazine .. there is one original riff.

@Petenman I just checked it out and yeah I can definitely see the similarities. but you have to remember the riffs aren't even original, they're widely popular (perhaps even basic) because its basically just messing with chord structures and open strings, I made up something similar a while back and discovered it was already made by Dick Dale hahaha.
