As I said b4 Saigon was the original name for the city, but later renamed as Ho Chi Minh in honor of the communist president after conquest of the city. Therefore, Saigon is much more than a common name. If you cant understand or read that, then it clearly indicate that you need much more help than just me lecturing you your own countrys history.

"Saigon" is the original name of the city, it is later being changed to "Ho Chi Minh" by the Vietnamese communists whose named it after their communist president. Saigon and Ho Chi Minh therefore mean the same thing, but one shouldn't call it Ho Chi Minh unless they're a communist.
