the way he encorporates mundane detail into a track shows his genius, yum yum yum

1 dislike? Poor soul probably got his or her house sold.

@ger869 Me too man. That and "Do you remember when we even bought this place? I danced you 'cross the wooden floor and you signed the lease" It's so perfectly what it feels like to be in love.

Another extremely talented artist. Ryan Adams' work is beautifully written and played. His live covers of Wonderwall are terrific. One of my favourite tracks is "The Shadowlands"...a very haunting song. Excellent music.

Not just one of the best songs off love is hell but one of his best songs period. the terseness and seeming simplicity of the lyrics underscore a mood of forlorn resignation coupled with the latent knowledge that whether he likes it or not, the house will be sold, i.e. - the relationship to which he keeps referring will fall apart, due to his willful ignorance and inability to face the subtle complexities of love, loss & letting go. sometimes, 'calm down' just doesnt cut it - except as a lyric.

@ribking Definitely not my favorite Ryan Adams album (I'm actually a big fan of Easy Tiger, its the album that got me into Ryan) but this is my favourite song off of it. So good.

The best singer songwriter in America.

@RICHARDTHEBEANS he might not be world famous but he is taken very seriously by the whole music community and is highly respected by older musicians like elton john and willie nelson. For me that would be more than enough! :)
This is one of the best songs from the most underrated album of the last decade.
