Momodora II takes place some time after the events of Momodora I. The previous protagonist, Isadora, was cursed into an Underworld Queen for breaking into the sacred shrine Terra Altar and seeking its forbidden magic. Her rebirth as an Underworld Queen has caused a lot of problems to nearby villages.
Due to that, Momo, a shrine maiden from the KoHo village, is sent on a mission to find the new queen and slay her.

It's not a bad game, it plays just like my favorite series Metroid and Castlevania. I'm not really fond to that silly anime style and the character / tileset style gets few minuses for being an obvious Cave Story copy. Regardless the pixel art is simple, but still effective. Looking at the portait art of the characters the artist in question knows well techniques such as AAing and how to use restricted colours in full effect. The game would be a masterpiece if it werent so frustatingly SHORT!
