Turkey poults and hen dustbathing

Our broody hen is getting a bit fed up cooped up in her pen all day with her 3 week old turkey poults so I let them out in the garden for a while and she headed straight in the flower bed for a dust bath she was so engrossed she didn't see me creeping up on with the camera! Its been so dry in Ireland lately almost a drought.

One poult is pure white (not albino) not sure how that happened when its parents are both Bronze turkeys, the other one is the normal colouring for this age. The cockerel is trying to tempt her back I think.

@ThreeBallz thank you! You'll be pleased to know they were both females so we've decided to keep them. The pale one turned out to be white with a few black markings, I'll have to post an update video.

They do look happy, don't they? At least they're not digging up your flower bed and leaving little ''messages'' like my cat does! And, myjugs, its rare to see the words ''Ireland'' and ''drought' in the same sentence! Isn't it great?

@poitinstill Isn't it just wonderful, long may it last. The bees are busy making the most of the fine weather too. This year we should have honey to sell.
