Yeah, Technic is a unique Lego brand. It shows how some "real" models perform, with gears, levers, pistons, cylinders, etc, and that's cool. Besides, Lego Star Wars is the lego brand that contains more Technic pieces (and even gears and mechanisms) in it's models. But I don't like the outer looking of Technic sets, specially old ones. They are quite "skeletal", if you know what i mean. Some models like 8285 Tow Truck and the new 8258 are very well designed and look great, even the outside.
Anyway this model is not really Technic, it's RACERS. They are a "simplified" version of the Technic supercars (like 8880 or 8448), with a very nice desing, but few Technic mechanisms.

as a system builder, im more of an outsider looking in, so what do you like about technic, is it the challenge or the uniquness or something else?
