STVA repair on 2001 GSXR-750

After getting the C28 code on my gixxer i finally had enough and did some research online how to fix the problem, after trawling many forums and reading the workshop manual i figured out how to service the STV unit on my 2001 gsxr-750
Heres a video after the repair showing where everything is and showing properly functioning STV's

When u say jerky are they twitching through the throttle curve or just moving faster? If u have no warning light and no code I wouldn't worry so much , if your throttle is smooth at low rpm and bevs right out to redline I'd say your all good , otherwise is do what I did and clean up your contacts in the stva unit

thanks for that. I went through the adjustment procedure as per manual and my stva stopped making that ratchet noise when I turn the ignition but only for a short time now the noise is back again. When the stva is tested it is almost like i tries to pull the cables further than is actually possible and the gear inside skips. The cables are adjusted perfectly and it still does it. I'm afraid something will get stripped eventually. No codes though and runs clean from the bottom up to the red line.

I own 00 gsxr 750 and my STVA's move in a more jerky motion in comparison to yours which are smooth. No c28 code displayed, though. Do you think I've got something faulty? Have you lubricated the lines or the actuator itself in some way? Thanks!

the 04 have a different set up , the stva is mounted directly to the throttle body and has no cables , im not as familiar with this unit but if you trawl the gixxer dot come forums theres plenty of info
