  • Wonderful performance ... truly eternal music

  • Camera man: When the trumpets have a moment, show the trumpets; not the conductor or the soprano. Beautiful music, awful camera work.

  • The whole concert is a miraculous wonder!

  • A deeply touching, highly dramatic conducting of Mahler Second by Maestro Ozawa, plus angelic voice of one and only Kathleen Battle, what more we can ask ? A GREAT PERFORMANCE, BRAVO !!

  • Hay que tener presente que Seiji Ozawa ha sido el mejor director de orquesta de origen japonés. Bravo Sr. Ozawa, excelente.

  • Beautiful rendition and powerful choir! I love how the conductor prolonged the final note a bit, before the conclusion, at 12:26.

  • @limsj6 No, it's not saito kinen. But the concert master, Yasushi Toyoshima is a regular member of Saito Kinen. Basically, it is New Japan Philharmonic. Some players from Chicago and Boston Symphony joined. The mezzo soprano is Florence Quivar.

  • is this saito kinen orchestra? and Who's the mezzo soprano?

  • author why isnt Florence Quivar's name in the information...
