  • New Years Joke ?

  • @2Djazz I am deadly serious. Deadly.

  • Can hardly hear the bass...

  • @iamasmodai it's the synthy sound, I panned it slightly left from the regular track. hear it? It's easier to hear w/ headphones. I got it sounding very close to the original patch, which is why it might be hard to hear.

  • @havic5 Amazing.

Same here. Gigs ($) Vs Good music. Hope with all my heart that you get what you are looking for with out being harmed because I came to the point of leaving my bass (not at all) and start djing.

No offense but watching such an amazing musician, composer and teacher like yourself going through the same kind of experiences is quite relaxing. Makes me feel not so lonely.

By the way dance music isn't that bad :)

    Jazz is best of course.

PS.Several bass players in Mexico follow you.

Yes, really I hate most dance music! The tone he has got is fairly badass and could be used to great effect in a more musical context...

  • @havic5 Okay, I can certainly understand that; but at the same time I hope you don't put ALL your eggs in that basket for your own sanity :)

  • @FluffyWagglekins Good question. 1) The tune is miserable, and the programmed drums are utterly forgettable. HOWEVER, whoever programmed the bass synth knew what they were doing, and the bassline is fun to play.

    2) I've been getting into recreating electronic dance music patches live recently for a couple reasons, and one of them is there's now a lot of money in covering top 40 live for dance bands, and those are the gigs that I want to get. A lot of this stuff is fun to do with a live band.

  • That was amazing. :)

  • @TheBassMan533 It's not a sound I would ever *want* to create live, but that is of course based on my personal preferences as a bassist and a fan of music.

  • @FluffyWagglekins

And I posted my opinion in my first comment - I think it's for creating that electronic thing, live. and perhaps, to work on the sound as well.

lets just say, try to create this live, and make it sound this good. I dare you.
