  • if your going to off road it like we did then you should start saving half shafts, gearboxes, and diffs, also dont bolt your seat box in with more than 2 bolts, if your like me you will be taking the gear box out every other weekend.lol

its like strapping a rocket to a snail, it just dont like it,

i did have a lot of fun, i used to drive at about 25mph wait for the traffic to build up behind me then nail it and leave em all standing..

if you drive it steady on the roads, then you should be ok.

  • are the standard diffs

  • @Mr204ruger hi both landys have got standed diffs out of a range rover..its cheeper than a over drive..cheers wayne..

  • Lowering the tyre pressure would have helped considerably. Inventive use of the spare at the end!

  • @P1LGY I realise you made this comment a while ago, but also, if you use crappy sh*tpart half shafts, you're much more likley to bust them than using OE or genuine LR ones..... you know what they say! buy cheap, buy twice, I've made that mistake a couple of times with parts that don't fit, so now for the more major things, it's genuine all the way- just make sure your bank balance is up to it!

  • all cock and no balls.....try low

  • If you going to drive a series rover other than the V8 petrol engines, then put the old 2.25 diesl in it. It the best thing for them guranteed. A diff lock in the rear would help too mind you.

  • Nice! checkout my v8 series donut vid

  • Hi, I'm looking into putting a 3.5 V8 in my 2a, how do you think the overdrive and diffs will cope? It's a fairey unit, and the diffs are standard, as is the transmission. Just curious as I snapped a half shaft last winter with the 2 1/4 petrol!
