NEW Lion Dance Style... Tiger Dance @ Master Siow's Wansenghang

whilst I stayed with Sifu (master Siow) on my last couple of trips to Malaysia he told me a bit about the new Lion Dance style.. I tried to get some footage but it was very hard.. I also usually make an effort to speak to him in Mandarin but that wasn't going to happen on camera, lol..

I'm sure this style will be developed, Sifu tells me there are 15 teams doing it in Malaysia now and I got to see my Hong Deck brothers practising just before I left to go home to Japan. Most of them are still learning too, so I am keen to see this style in a couple of years when it has been developed and refined

i think there has always been a type of dance with a flatter appearance. You can see it in some older lion dance videos like the 1984 lion dance tourney in hong kong.
