Courageous Citizen's Award's Theme song written and sung by Deedee O'Malley

I was so inspired by one of the recipients of this award that I wanted to write a theme song for The Courageous Citizens of the world!

Ms. Khalid helped stop and detain a man who was attempting to rob a Van Nuys bank branch in July 2008. The defendant struck a bank security guard with a gun as he entered the bank. The guard and defendant struggled over the gun, which discharged, grazing the guard. Ms. Khalid was outside the branch while her son was cashing a check inside. She ran into the bank after hearing the shot, jumped on the defendants back and struggled with him over the weapon. Other bystanders then joined in and detained the defendant until police arrived. The defendant pleaded guilty to a count of second-degree burglary and was sentenced to 38 years to life in prison.
