The Ile-de-France was the first ocean liner, launched by the French Line in 1927, finished in the fine and modernistic Art Deco style, directly influenced by the Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in Paris 1925.
With these interiors, younger passangers took the route from Le Havre to New York...the "Ile" was a full success in these jazzling time until 1939.
Part II : the post-war period from 1949-1959
@lipstickjungle2803 No, it wouldn't have been 1939. It would have been after the Normandy Invasion so it was probably 1944-1945. Is that your collection in the video?

Ile De France was the Titanic for GCT. Ile De France had prior to World War II had a half open Promenade Deck. The interiors are Chic. The first Art Deco Ocean Liner.

Sadly her original grand interiors were toned down during a re-decorating in the mid-1930s and again after the World War II.
